For the majority of her life, Sidreis lived in fear and shame, believing she was alone in her struggle with sexual addiction. At the age of 35, she finally found the courage to open up and seek help by attending a women’s 12-Step support group. It was in those meetings that she not only found hope and connection, but more importantly, came to know and love her Savior. Three years later, Sidreis started her personal recovery blog, By the Light of Grace, in an effort create a beacon of hope for other women who struggle. Sidreis served two terms as the Vice President of the UVU Chapter of Fight the New Drug (FTND), and has presented at The Togetherness Project, Relief Society meetings and youth fire sides, as well as participated in other various media related videos and interviews. She currently works for the Healing Through Christ Foundation, a 501c non-profit focused on providing Christ centered 12-Step sexual addiction recovery material for all those affected by unwanted sexual behavior. She also currently serves on both the Utah Coalition Against Pornography (UCAP) advisory board and conference planning committees. Sidreis enjoys the quiet life in West Jordan, Utah, with her family.
